Ken is an active entrepreneur and community real estate developer in the Philadelphia area. He serves as President of Philly Office Retail which currently owns and manages more than 800,000 sf of commercial and residential space and has received six Preservation Alliance Community Awards for its unique adaptive reuse projects. In 2008, Ken co-founded the Mt. Airy Business Improvement District and currently serves as its chair. Mayors Michael Nutter and Jim Kenney appointed Ken to chair the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation, a quasi-government organization that spends tens of millions of dollars a year to help keep low income families in their homes by providing basic systems repair.

In 2015, Ken founded Jumpstart Germantown and Jumpstart Philly which trains, mentors, networks and provides funding to thousands of aspiring real estate developers who want to improve their own communities. Ken also founded the Trolley Car Table Tennis Club which is the only full time table tennis club in the Philadelphia region and the Trolley Car Teachers' Fund which provides up to $25,000 a year in grants to public school teachers. Previously, Ken worked as Chief of Staff to Councilwoman Happy Fernandez before starting and operating four neighborhood restaurants and serving as a Director/Organizer of Valley Green Bank.
